The Isosceles Modern Story
The Isosceles Modern is a visual haiku, a simple shape resonant as the notes of a triad forming the roots of a musical chord. Pure minimalism, this smooth shallow contour connects elements of nature, art and geometry, paring them down to only the most essential expression in form.
Though smaller than most of my firebowls, the Isosceles Modern holds a good-sized fire. Like a flame held in the palm of the hand, the shallower draught of this bowl puts the focus on the fire, and the triangular points of the bowl are a perfect complement to the shapes of the flames.
The Isosceles Modern has been featured on the front page of the New York Times’ Home section and has appeared on Red Hot & Green from HGTV, and Yard Crashers from DIY Network.
